The stretch of coast along the 30A Highway in Florida is one of the most scenic areas in the United States. The beaches are beautiful and the water activities on the Gulf of Mexico are numerous. There are many activities to enjoy in the 30A area. However, if you want to have fun on a budget, the 30A area has much to offer that is free of charge.

People flock to the beaches in the 30A area. They want to enjoy the sunshine and feel the Gulf breezes. There are several access points in the 30A area where you can enjoy public access to the beach. One of the favorite beach access points in the area is the Blue Mountain Regional Beach Access at 2365 S. Scenic Highway 83. There is plenty of parking and restroom facilities are available.

Point Washington State Forest
The Point Washington State Forest is a great place to view the wildlife in the Florida Gulf Coast area. This state forest is approximately 15,000 acres in size. In the park, visitors have the chance to encounter wildlife that includes the gopher tortoise, various reptile and amphibian species and a host of different birds. There are three loop trails that are part of the Eastern Lake Trail System. The trails are 3.5, 5 and 10 miles long. The trails are good for hiking and biking and offer a relaxing walk in a gorgeous environment.

Timpochee Trail
There is a nice bike trail that runs from Dune Allen to Inlet Beach called the Timpochee Trail. It is a scenic trail that runs right alongside 30A. On this trail, riders will be able to view the beauty of the beaches and the Gulf at a more leisurely pass. Without all of the distractions of navigating through vehicle traffic, bikers can really experience what 30A Florida has to offer.

Many of the 30A communities put on free concerts for the public during the summer and spring months. All sorts of bands play music ranging from rock and country to jazz and easy listening. The Village of Baytowne Wharf offers concerts and a firework display every Wednesday evening throughout the summer.

These are just a few of the wonderful opportunities in 30A Florida. You don’t have to spend a lot to enjoy the area or to stay in a 30A beach rental.
